72 Players. 18 Holes. 18 Teams. 1 Winner – St Richard’s Hospice!
We were thrilled to participate in this year’s charity golf day at the stunning Fulford Heath Golf Club, supporting the incredible work done by St Richard’s Hospice. Our team of four, which included our General Manager, Service Operatives, and our Senior Project Manager (a golf pro with a handicap of 3.2!), was ready to take on the challenge.

A Day on the Course
The weather was typically British — wet, windy, and unpredictable. However, that didn’t dampen the atmosphere. From the very first tee-off, there was a real buzz across the course. The beautiful grounds, sweeping fairways, and serene lakes of Fulford Heath made every hole a pleasure to play.

Beyond the Game
The excitement continued off the course. After 18 challenging holes, players were welcomed with a delicious two-course meal. This was the perfect way to refuel and share stories from the day. The evening also featured a silent auction and raffle, giving everyone the chance to take home fantastic prizes while raising even more for charity.
Supporting St Richard’s Hospice
While every golfer was chasing a win on the fairway, the real victory was for St Richard’s Hospice. Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone involved, especially Ria Simons for organising the day, we raised vital funds to help the charity continue its life-changing work.

The Impact of Charity Events
Charity events like this one play a crucial role in supporting organisations that provide essential services. St Richard’s Hospice offers care to patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses. The funds raised during events help ensure that these services remain available and accessible.
Looking Forward to Next Year
We’re proud to have supported such a brilliant cause. The whole team is already looking forward to next year’s event, where we’ll be back on the fairways, rain or shine! You can donate and support St Richard’s Hospice too by clicking on the link below:
Conclusion
In conclusion, participating in the charity golf day was not just about playing golf; it was about coming together for a common cause. The camaraderie, the stories shared, and the funds raised all contribute to making a difference in the lives of those who need it most. We encourage everyone to get involved in future events and support local charities. Together, we can make a significant impact!
