Analytical water samples help us accurately assess the quality of your water to ensure it is safe for everyone in the building.

Our sampling process is fully digital, eliminating paper trails and ensuring every sample is time-stamped and traceable.

• Legionella samples are processed within 14 days (incubation period)
• Other microbiological or chemical samples are processed within 5 days

Once results are received, a clear Red / Amber / Green summary report is
compiled and sent - always within 24 hours of receipt

Water Sampling And Analysis

At Aqua Protec, we offer a full range of biological and chemical water testing services to help ensure your water systems are safe and compliant with regulations.

We test for bacteria such as Legionella, E. coli, Coliforms, and TVCs (Total Viable Counts), as well as more resistant pathogens known as ESKAPE organisms, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa. We also monitor for parasites like Cryptosporidium, which can pose risks to health, particularly in vulnerable environments.

All samples are carefully collected, transported, stored, and tested in line with the latest legislation and guidance to make sure results are reliable and representative of the actual water conditions.

Legionella samples are handled in accordance with BS7592:2008, the British Standard for sampling.
Pseudomonas aeruginosa sampling follows the specific procedures set out in HTM04-01 (2016), which is healthcare guidance from the Department of Health.
We also follow Public Health England (2013) guidelines for examining samples from healthcare environments, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of every sample we collect.

In addition to biological testing, we also carry out chemical analysis of water for substances like lead, copper, silver, and other heavy metals, as well as chlorides, chlorine dioxide, phosphates, and silicates.

On request, we also carry out Enterococci testing as part of full drinking water suites, including taste and odour assessments. All testing is performed by independent, UKAS-accredited laboratories, so you can trust the results.
